Matthew Bryan Walsh is a Twin Cities lighting designer for theatre, dance, and new works.
His work has been seen at The Southern Theatre, Open Eye Theatre, Phoenix Theatre, Rarig Center, Elision Playhouse, Northern Starz center, and the Hanifl Performing Arts Center. He has also designed professionally for local colleges and universities, as well as several north-metro secondary schools.
Walsh earned a BFA in Theatre Design & Technology from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2026. His work has been recognized with 1st Place in Regional Lighting Design at the 2026 KCACTF Region V Festival and the 2025 ETC Emerging Designer Award.
